This potent, anise-flavored alcohol is made in the U.S., which means no more begging adventurous friends to bring back neon bathtub brew from the Czech countryside. It has been toned down a bit since its early Montmartre days, so drinkers will not likely feel the need to give their ears to prostitutes for safekeeping (a lá Van Gogh). However, it's still 120 proof -- after a few shotfuls of this stuff, the women in the room may start to look a helluva lot more like those foxy green fairies everyone keeps talking about.
